My Money Story
120k in 2 yrs…..Getting out of debt was a journey that required dedication, strategy, and a sprinkle of fun. I started by tracking my spending to identify where my money was slipping away. Creating a budget became my new hobby, where I categorized expenses and prioritized essential bills.
I took on the snowball method, tackling smaller debts first to build momentum, all while keeping my spirits high. I celebrated every little win—whether it was paying off a credit card or cutting a discretionary expense—and turned frugal living into a creative challenge.
With a clear goal in mind, I sought additional income streams through part-time jobs and side hustles, using that extra cash to attack my debt like a financial ninja. By staying focused, learning from missteps, and surrounding myself with supportive people, I transformed my relationship with money, finally breaking free from the shackles of debt and stepping into a future of financial freedom.
changed my spending habuts for the better….I used to be a spontaneous spender, treating myself to whatever caught my eye. But one day, I paused and thought about my financial goals. That’s when I decided to make a change.
First, I tracked my expenses like a detective on a money mission. I discovered patterns in my spending that made me cringe. With that knowledge, I set clear and realistic budgets for different categories—eating out, entertainment, and shopping.
Next, I adopted the 24-hour rule for non-essential purchases. If I wanted something, I’d wait a day to see if I still craved it. Spoiler alert: most of the time, I didn’t!
I started prioritizing savings as if it were a monthly bill to pay. It felt empowering to watch my savings grow instead of my credit card debt! And now? I celebrate my financial wins, no matter how small, and sometimes treat myself with a sprinkle of budget-friendly splurge.
Changing my spending habits wasn’t about deprivation; it was all about creating a vibrant future while enjoying my present!
